The most reliable inventor education comes from a short list of sources: the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Small Business Administration, university technology transfer offices, and a few firm-run blogs that teach without promising riches. Bookmark those, and you can filter out most of the noise that surrounds the invention business. Start with the primary source
The USPTO is the agency that examines and grants patents, so its own site is the first stop. Beyond the basics of filing, it runs the Patent and Trademark Resource Center program, a national network of libraries where trained staff offer free help with patent and trademark searching. The agency also operates a Patent Pro Bono Program that connects qualifying inventors with volunteer patent attorneys. Both are described at uspto.gov, and both cost nothing to use.

The filter to apply is simple: does the article teach, or does it only sell? A resource that explains what a step costs, why it matters, and what the tradeoffs are earns trust. One that promises guaranteed success or projected earnings does not.

Then use firm blogs to see how the steps play out in practice. In that order, each source checks the next, and an inventor builds a picture that no single site could provide alone.
None of these hubs will make an idea successful. What they will do is replace rumor with fact, which is the first real advantage an independent inventor can give themselves.
